Boneyard Wrestling Academy sets a precedent of excellence from
day one. We value simplicity and the impact of a strong and disciplined technical foundation in the sport of wrestling. When hard work becomes your focus, success becomes imminent.
In 2013 Boneyard Wrestling Academy began when we saw a need for youth wrestling in the NW Houston area. A wrestling room provides a place for kids to learn dedication, discipline, humility, agility and a tremendous work ethic. Our hope is to grow the program to a level where the school districts will take notice and start high school programs for wrestling so these kids can continue their work through high school and even college.
Wrestling was the first Olympic sport and the only sport to be in every summer Olympic game. The sport dates back over 15,000 years.
Wrestling is not only a great sport on it's own, but is also a great off-season sport to keep kids in shape for football, baseball and even MMA. Three state champion wrestlers were in the super bowl just this year, and 6 out of every 8 MMA champions come from the wrestling world.
Coach Brett, Boneyard's original head coach, has a passion for wrestling. He grew up in Illinois wrestling for his youth team and progressed through high school and was even provided a full scholarship to the University of Illinois for wrestling until an injury took him out of the sport. Brett was a three time State Champion, a three time All American and was inducted into the Illinois Wrestling Hall of Fame in 2006.
Since 2013, we've helped train over 60 State Champs, multi ALL Americans, a Freestyle National Champ, NAIA National Champ and D1 College athletes.
